The KWF organises on June 7th 2008 in cooperation with the German Forest entrepreneurs association, the forest workers training centre Neheim Hüsten the European and German Forwarder Championships. The winner is the European Forwarder Champion 2008; the first German driver is the German Forwarder Champion 2008.
Harvester and forwarder drivers from all European countries with a minimum of one year practical experience are invited to participate in the championship.
The competition starts on Saturday, June 7th 2008 at the Forwarder Stadium on the Forest Demo Show ground at Schmallenberg with the Tower Building Competition. The 16 best drivers will qualify for the Cup Final.
The requirements on the driving competences are very high, the are similar to the forwarder competitions in Scandinavian countries.
The championship consists of two competitions.

Building of a Tower
With 7 logs of approx. 40 cm length a tower as has to be built. Within the reach of the crane the participant is allowed to arrange as he likes.
CUP - Finals
The CUP – Finals are a competition man against man for the 16 best drivers of the tower building competition. They are mainly forwarding exercises along a skidding track which is bordered by artificial trees. The obstacles may not be touched by the crane or the grapple.
