Innovations at the KWF-Meeting 2008
Once again the Kuratorium für Waldarbeit und Forsttechnik (German Centre for Forest Work and Technology) will be staging its Innovation Contest at the 15th big KWF Meeting 2008. At the same time the BMELV will be premiering “Excellent Technology for the Small Private Forest” and awarding a total of 10,000 Euro prize money. All exhibitors are eligible to enter.
Innovative forest technology developed by the exhibiting companies and institutes will be judged and evaluated in secret by a neutral expert commission before the KWF-Meeting 2008. Especially promising products will be awarded the prestigious KWF Innovation Medal. The winners will be announced at a ceremony on June 5th in the KWF Congress tent on the DemoFair grounds in Schmallenberg, where the decisions of the expert commission will also be explained in detail.
For the first time the BMELV will also be awarding cash prizes for excellent forest technology for use in the small private forest. This is the sector where this technology can be used to mobilise additional amounts of wood to meet the growing market demands for wood.
